Most of you probably already know me, so I'm not gonna do a huge presentation of myself here.
But for those of you who are new to my space, these are the essentials:
I'm a native Norwegian girl who lived most of my life in Norway, and this website used to
be dedicated to my dog, a Belgian Sheepdog girl named Donatrix Wildah, Sari. She was from the wonderful
breeder Carola with
Kennel Donatrix Unfortunatly her
life was a short one, she only lived for two years, before getting hit by a car and killed in February
2008. She was my angel, my baby and the light in my everyday life, and living on without her is
empty. I still miss her more than I can put into words. I am fortunate though, as soon
my life will be blessed with another Belgian Sheepdog. Little Czarina is making her enterance
in the begining of November from Hanna with
Kennel Tendance . I can't
wait to get to know her and have a dog around again. If I decide to start my own breeding, it will be
in close cooperation with these two kennels, as we share the same passion for the breeds health and working qualities.
I used to train and compete obedience with Sari, something we both loved. And this is something
that I plan to do with Czarina as well. I am also currently working
on an obedience website where I'm gathering everything I know, and all useful information I've come across. It's
nowhere near finished, but I hope the end result will turn out great. Please visit
Obediencestar.com and let me know what you think.
After loosing Sari like that, I figured it was about time to do something I've always wanted to do:
Move to Southern California!
So I did :) Guess I've always been quite impulsive, and when I got a job offer in
my favorite city, Los Angeles, there wasn't much of a question in my mind. Whether I'll be staying her for more than
a year or not, I do not know. But at the moment I'm quite happy, and looking forward to starting over fresh.
So, until I get a new dog, I decided to make this a site where I write about my life here, what it's like moving
to the US, and I'll put together all useful information I can, so that other's moving here will have an easier time.
'Cus trust me, all the paperwork and thing's you'll need can be quite a challenge. And there's always a catch 22...
Right now I'm mainly writing in my blog, that's currently in Norwegian. I am thinking of doing it in English instead, and
have gotten a few requests already, but it's nice for my family and friends back in Norway to read everything in their own
language + I'm way more articulate in Norwegian than in English. I'll have to give it some more thoughts.
But the rest of the site is all in English :)
I'm really happy to recieve any comments you may have. So keep 'em coming. And if you have any questions, please, don't
hesitate to ask.
Best regards
Therese
